NIDA Student Workshops 2010
Customised Workshops
Practical workshops in
the areas of acting, performance and production for stage or screen can
be arranged for primary and secondary students at NIDA or at your
school. Choose from a range of set workshops or customise your own to
suit your students’ needs. NIDA workshops enable your students to work
with specialised tutors to accelerate their learning
and advance their skills building on what they have learnt in the classroom.
We offer a variety of workshops for the following:
o HSC Drama workshops
o Secondary Drama workshops
o Primary Drama workshops
o Entertainment workshops

Primary School Book Week Production
Across The Story Bridge
Celebrate
Book Week at NIDA with an amazing theatrical experience inspired by the
short-listed stories for Book of the Year. Journey with us “Across the
Story Bridge” to a world where nothing is quite what it seems. Follow
the adventures of our lost heroes as they work together to discover the
power of story telling, unlocking the secrets of time to find their way
back home. A professional production at NIDA’s Parade Theatre.
Performance dates and times:
Thursday 26 August, 10am and 1pm
Friday 27 August, 10am and 1pm
Saturday 28 August, 11am and 2pm
Duration:
One hour including a chance to meet the actors after the show.
Cost:
$15 per person for school groups
$20 per person for groups of four or more
$22 per individual

HSC Study Days
Individual Project Study Day - Drama
Explore
producing an Individual Drama Project from the initial idea to
completion. Discuss the creative process and considerations for an
Individual Project, then participate in a practical workshop in a
chosen area: Performance, Design, Video Drama, Scriptwriting,
Director’s Folio or Theatre Criticism.
