If you are a member of Drama NSW, you are also automatically a member of Drama Australia, our national body.
Drama Australia, in partnership with Drama South Australia, is thrilled to annouce that registration is now open for the 2016 Drama Australia Symposium, Looking Back, Looking Forward.
The first Drama Australia Symposium will be held in Adelaide on Friday 30 September and Saturday 1 October, with a special optional Cultural Excursion on Sunday 2 October 2016. This date commemorates the meeting that led to the establishment of Drama Australia, forty years ago, in the Adelaide Hills in 1976.
This exciting new initiative will follow a different format to traditional national conferences. This Symposium will privilege research and theory to strengthen our teaching practice in schools, universities and the community, by ensuring it is evidence-based and research informed.
The Symposium will have something to offer to all Drama educators, from primary and secondary teachers, to academics and researchers. The event will offer a focussed program, with limited presentation options, so that all delegates can be together for the two days of the keynotes, panels, papers and short presentations.
Looking Back, Looking Forward is shaping up to be a vibrant and dynamic event, incorporate presentations from leaders across our field. These days will be spent sharing our history, exploring our future and discussing current practice and research in our field.
