A one-day workshop on devising strategies for contemporary theatre, where we will delve into the world of devising techniques and collaborate with two experienced creatives – one working with students, the other with teachers. This interactive workshop aims to empower both teachers and gifted and talented students to explore their creativity, learn new theatrical approaches, and work together to craft mini performances that will be presented to each other at the end of the day.
Objectives:
- To introduce teachers to contemporary devising techniques and strategies that they can incorporate into their teaching practices.
- To engage gifted and talented students in an inspiring and enriching theatrical experience, encouraging them to explore their creativity and express themselves through performance.
- To foster collaboration between teachers and students, promoting a mutual exchange of ideas and skills in a theatre-making process.
- To develop confidence and storytelling abilities in both teachers and students through theatrical expression.
